Herbal Listening School is a two-month immersion for people who want to develop an intuitive, intimate, and creative relationship with plants. Over four Sunday afternoons, we will gather in the lush fields of Foxtrot Farm, to slow down together and intentionally shape a container to share food, connect with specific plants, and build a community of creative practice.

This is for people who are looking for hands-on study of medicinal herbs that centers engaging with the plants and each other in an interconnected web of reciprocal learning. We use plants as our muses to inspire art, in whatever form we choose, whether it be drawing, painting, writing, crocheting, or more. In turn, we listen to what these creative expressions tell us about the medicine and personalities of the plants themselves.

Pricing

We offer sliding scale pricing to try to make this offering as accessible as possible. You may choose to pay in full at registration, or pay ½ at registration and the remaining ½ by the first day we meet.  New this year: Foxtrot Farm Pick Your Own (PYO) members receive 10% off registration at any tier! You’re invited to arrive early or stay late for PYO harvesting on HLS Sundays, and use code PYO10 at checkout when signing up for HLS.

Pricing Tiers

Tier 1: This subsidized tier recognizes that systemic oppression often prevents people from affording events and continuing education. This tier is for those who might have obstacles to meeting basic needs, and often do not have much expendable income. Program cost: $140

Tier 2: This subsidized tier is for those who can generally meet their basic living expenses, feel limited around financial resources, and have fluctuating access to expendable income for events and workshops. Program cost: $190

Tier 3: The true cost of the program, taking into account all the materials and our labor as facilitators. This tier is for those who can comfortably meet basic needs, and have some expendable income for workshops and activities outside of work/school/daily living. Program cost: $240

Tier 4: The pay-it-forwards option to help sustain Herbal Listening School. This is for folks who can comfortably meet basic needs and have expendable income that can help subsidize Tier 1 & 2 tickets. Program cost: $290
